I used to work at this location 3 year's ago and got unfairly terminated due to a personal injury (dislocated right shouldet) that Tom didn't believe. He gave me 2 options over the phone (I was supposed to work that morning but I couldn't because of doctor's orders). He told me, "you either show up for work or don't bother showing up at all." So I took option B. I was getting sick and tired of the way the management was treating me like I didn't know how to do my job. I got "accused of stealing" $10 from the register that they just put me on for under a hour after 6-7 customers. And made me sign a bullshit paper for it. I told them both to check the cameras. I emptied all my pockets in front of them in the break room and my coat pockets. I got accused about 3 times for someone else's job that I didn't do. And I ended up doing it and worked twice as hard. This is the worst location to work at. I even tell my friends. My ex and a couple others told me that I should file a lawsuit against them. It's a little too late now. I wrote a letter to the president of goodwill in Springfield and never got a response back from him.
I agree with you Hillary DeGrasse.
This is the WORST GoodWill I have ever experienced in my life. When I walked in the staff and manager were loudly arguing with a woman at the counter who was screaming that an iPad she purchased did not work. Not only was the entire situation handled less than professionally, but immediately after the customer left the staff and manager carried on a conversation across the store calling the lady a liar and making fun of her. As I browsed the book section, a gentleman next to me asked the manager about the pricing of a lamp set -- first of all, after the customer service we had all just witnessed them was clearly hesitant about even asking a question, and second of all, the manager was SO RUDE and scoffed at the man and said "I am trying to run a business not give things away for free. I don't offer discounts either." I was so offended that he spoke to another customer that way, when HE had priced two USED lamps at $25 EACH!! On top of that, the man asked who priced the item. The manager said he didn't know. Then the man asked who he could speak to above the manager and the manager said "there is no one higher than me". That's insane. Everything is highly overpriced and not good quality at all. I have never been so displeased from a visit to GoodWill. I will never return to this location and I highly recommend everyone else staying away too. There is a great Hospice Thrift store right up the road.
Good junk at fair prices. Friendly staff.
went to drop things off there and one man was very rude. i brought a lot of stuff and he rejected some of it and never thanked me for the stuff i brought. he just pointed and said no.
This is a great place to buy old but still usable products.
