I recently put in an offer for a house on a Friday night. Gave the realtor and homeowner 48 hours to respond. 48 hours go by and the realtor said she didn't get the email until 2 hours earlier. The house had already been sold to someone else. I said I'd put in more money, the realtor said the other offer was too high so don't bother. That is not how a professional runs a business to deteriorate someone's dream of buying a home. It's a complete scam all because I didn't use the five college Realtors and instead I used a family real estate agent to handle my inquiries, that's why. I'm very disappointed.
