The maintenance workers are lovely, nice and always helpful! They respond quickly. However, the people working in the office are a different story. They seem to know nothing about their apartments and cannot even answer a simple question. I myself have worked as a phone operator and I understand that customers are not always the nicest and sometimes, there are questions you do not know the answer to but I feel they should be more versed in the general workings of the apartment. I once called asking a simple question about the cable outputs in the house and was transferred without any say of who I was being transferred to. After 30 or so minutes, I was finally able to be informed that only one out of the two cable inputs in every apartment works, which makes no sense, but is also something that an office worker should know. Other than that, a perfectly fine apartment complex for a student. However I will admit, the price is somewhat expensive for what you are getting
It's very convenient to live here, and on the cheap side compared to other place. The maintenance staff is awesome and always attend to problems quickly.
The manager needs to reevaluate the choice of front office workers. The ladies working there are bitchy, rude, and one step short of being robots. If there is a a seemingly simple problem, it seems the only response they can spew out is "management rules" not "Oh, I'm really sorry we cant help you with that, I wish there was something we could do." Oh no, that would require a trace amount of human feeling which they clearly lack any of. And another fine thing is that in order to use your mailbox (which you would think just CAME with the apartment) you have to go through these BS steps AND pay 30 dollars just to get the key to it. Puffton Is a ripoff and I suggest you live ANYWHERE other than here.
Puffton could not a more convenient place to live! I had such a pleasant experience living here, and found the maintenance staff to be incredibly helpful and friendly. I'd recommend this to any UMass student looking to go off campus!
Puffton Village is fantastic. My apartment is all brand new. The maintenance crew is wonderful. Great place to live. So close to campus. Much better than the dorms. Quiet. Good laundry facilities. Really, a wonderful place.
