The room was spacious, beautiful, and comfortable. It included a large sleeping area, comfortable couches, and an adorable eating area overlooking the yard. The hosts had included snacks, DVDs, novels, and guide books to make sure we were comfortable. By the end of our stay, I wanted to move in!
Lynda obviously loves hosting. Her gourmet breakfast is amazing. I will definitely be back!
I absolutely LOVED this place. The owners were unbelievably welcoming and accommodating. They treated us more like old friends than paying customers, and we ended up having enjoyable conversations with them throughout our stay. As an added bonus, they were very knowledgeable about the town, so we were able to make the most of our limited time in Amherst.
The breakfast alone was worth the trip. It included fresh fruit, warm baked goods, and little touches like maple yogurt, Vietnamese coffee, and local syrup... and all of this before the actual meal, which they happily tailored to my dietary restrictions (vegetarian). On the morning we left, the hostess was even nice enough to give us some extra corn bread (a particular favorite) for the trip home.
I just spent two nights at the loveliest of B&Bs. The accommodations were spacious, and the gardens lovely. Lynda's breakfasts were amazing, and the presentation beautiful. I booked another stay before I left.
As a frequent traveler, it takes alot to impress me, but Purple Gables far exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a more comfortable, personal travel experience.
