While working at UMass I bought a workstation from Amherst Computerworks as well a high-end server, in both cases they did a great job of choosing appropriate components to match our needs while still hitting the required price point. I've also bought small components from them (battery, CD drive for an older laptop) and in all cases they knew what to get and how. I love having a knowledgeable shop in town.
