The front staff were great: listened, helped me, were friendly and smart. The Nurse Practitioner did a great job, both medically and as a person to discuss issues and concerns with. It's the business model that is inexplicable: One medical person on site. ONE. I sat (sick) in the waiting room for 2 3/4 hours while the 3 people ahead of me were tended to -three people in 2 3/4 hours.
My accident came at the end of their business hours on a Friday evening, a severe cut on my finger. I did have to wait because several other people were there first. By the time they could see me it was way past their closing time. I was treated politely and professionally by the medical staff. We had a wonderful conversation while they stitched me up. I left with a very up beat sense. It is not always possible for health professionals to deal with people and every situation to everyone's satisfaction. They were concerned and had a sense of humor; plus they listened very well, a trait not always found in the medical world.
Lastly, to anyone who hates their job as much as this woman, QUIT!
Been there with the wife a couple of times and once for myself. we both like the doctors and nurses, the receptionist wasn't too bad but the wait can be since they only one of each on when we go (evenings and weekends ). I still like them better than my primary physician which can never see me due my schedule even when I give them dates that I'm off work (vmga). The best I can say is if they have 1 more doctor and nurse on it would help. Also be there 1 hour before closing they do need a life as well.
The website says, "for a fraction of the ....wait of an emergency room." They aren't even designed to pull this off. The 15 minutes I had with the Nurse Practitioner were all I needed, but the wait was unconscionable. If you want medical help without sitting in misery for 2 hours (that's if you get there before the rush comes in), go anywhere but here.
NOT URGENT CARE. Nearly 2 hr wait with one person ahead of me. I wish I never wasted my time coming here."We only have 1 person on staff" Really!? On a Friday,Went to room, had vitals taken, and waited another 28 min before even seeing the dr. Conclusion, not strep throat, gargle mouthwash. Hope this helps
The woman at the window didnt care enough to even look me in my swollen face while she turned me and my state insurance away. I would think she would know im there because i need medical attention; aside from not being seen, she didnt provide any information or help. I'm questioning why i need insurance if i cant use it. Anytime I have been there in the past it has never taken less than 2 hours. It's seems more like a place for medical training or internships than an urgent care center. Save yourself the torture, go to northampton.
