Sad to say, I used to think that UPS was great! My opinion has changed 180 degrees. Dealing with Paul on more than one occasion recently, and watching him with other customers while I waited, was horrible. Whether or not he knows what he's doing is one thing, but his demeanor is horrible-- in person and on the phone. The owner of that store ought to be paying closer attention.
This is a great UPS drop off/pick up, and serivce center!
They have very little attention to detail. I paid them to collect the contents of my daughter's storage unit (dorm room stuff), pack it for shipping, and send it across the country. The were accommodating on getting it scheduled and meeting my deadline. When I received the boxes it was clear that the person that did the packing either doesn't know how to pack or doesn't care. I paid for boxes to be repacked (prepared for shipping vs. sitting in a storage unit) and there were numerous boxes that clearly had not been repacked. A printer was shipped with NO packing materials - loose in a box. Glassware was shipped with NO packing materials - arrived broken. Clothing was repacked - into a very large box half full of clothes and half full of packing peanuts. Could have used those peanuts around the glassware and not the sweaters. I filed a complaint twice with the store manager and did not get a single response. I paid $1700 for this service and certainly would not recommend it.
Reading the comments, it sounds like this Paul guy should be fired. As far as my experience goes, it was quick, painless, and about a half hour shorter than I was prepared for. I came in and was greeted by a nice gentleman whose name I did not catch. He was friendly and informative. I did not even need to stand in line. I had my label, he told me to tape the box, and he grabbed a sleeve from the back. We got the label on the box and he told me he would handle it from there and to have a wonderful day. What a pleasant experience it was. Would recommend this store to others; maybe sans Paul after reading some comments though.
On the upside, I did have a very favorable experience at that store with a female associate.
PS to all of you idiots on here. It is your responsibility to pay for and ensure packages are properly packed, including peanuts and the like.
Impossible to cover the details of assistance received on this Saturday. Assist with label printing patience through my errors and support to try again . Simple ending because of K.B and her kindness in this complicated several pieces mailing. B.D managed other customers swiftly while K.B continued to unravel my mailing issue. Thanks so much .
