I also have to give a shout-out to Dani, who has given me cuts when Kendra has been away. Dani is skilled and meticulous, and does an excellent job.
I've been going to Hair by Harlow for years, and have never been less than happy with the service and atmosphere. Everyone is super-friendly and helpful. I've seen comments that say it's pricey--doesn't seem so to me (but then I used to live in New York State), but you do get what you pay for, and for some things it doesn't pay to over-economize.
I went here because it had been awhile since I had gotten a trim. I was excited to see how much the salon has changed since I used to go there all the time when I was litttle. I'm half black and half white so my hair is a little frizzy and curly. I told the receptionist all of this and asked if they could still do my hair. She reassured me that it wouldnt be a problem and asked one of the hair stylists who said it was fine; that they do all different hair types. The day of my appointment I check in, walk up to the chair and sit down. The first thing the stylist says when she walks up to me and sees me is "Oh, we don't do your type of hair."
Great service and great results. Peg V and Ashley are excellent professionals and fun to spend time with.
I have been going to this salon for over 7 years. Laura is an amazing stylist and has always been spot on with my hair....color is always what I asked for. Recently had my hair done by ashley and she was great to talk to very friendly and I was happy with my color

Kendra is my regular hairdresser; she knows my hair and always gives me a fabulous cut, as well as good advice about changes I've made over the years. She's a skilled colorist as well; I recently started putting fantasy color in my hair, and she does a beautiful job (check out my profile pic for my latest cut). I get a lot of compliments on my cut and color, and I recommend HbH without reservation.
